Salt Water Cafe, Beadnell

Salt Water Cafe is a fairly new addition to Beadnell and, although slightly more expensive than a lot of other eateries in the area, is well worth a visit.

The cafe’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you can pre-book an afternoon tea – with prosecco if you’re looking to treat yourself.

Salt Water has an excellent breakfast menu featuring the ‘Northumbrian Full’, Craster kippers, pancakes and French toast to name just a selection.

For lunch, you can choose from simple but delicious sandwiches and baked potatoes, as well as daily specials and a wide variety of cakes tempting you from the chilled display cabinet.

In the evening, Salt Water is less cafe and more restaurant, providing an elegant menu of starters and mains so is perfect if you’re looking for something a little more special.

Menus and opening times can be found on Salt Water Cafe’s website:

Great for kids because they’re sure to enjoy the treat of pancakes for breakfast, or the novelty of an afternoon tea. If taking children along for dinner, it’s worth checking with the cafe to see if they do a children’s menu.
