The beach at Budle Water is a hidden gem located around the headland from Budle Bay.
Access is from the small road to Heather Cottages, on the left as you drive from Budle towards Bamburgh.
The beach is relatively small compared to some of its neighbours but it’s beautiful, especially as it’s not widely used so you can often get the beach to yourself.
Walking left along the beach from the path takes you round to the Budle Bay nature reserve, whereas walking right and continuing around the headland will eventually take you to Bamburgh Castle and beach.
Great for dogs if you head to the right as you reach the beach, around the old concrete pier. If you head left along the beach you’ll end up in the Budle Bay nature reserve, so best to steer clear of that with your dog.
